November 2025: “No Kings.” What’s Next?
BACKGROUND: In October, seven million people participated in No Kings Day events. This was one day. It was also just one way to unite and make visible our concerns, and outrage about the actions of our President and his supporters. To really influence policies, policymakers, and our fellow citizens, we who oppose most—if not all—of the current President’s words and actions need to initiate and participate in a variety of coordinated, focused, and sustained ways. Using your 2020 Action monthly e-postcards as guides for timely and coordinated actions is an important way to stay informed and engaged in meaningful change. We recommended following up with the group called Indivisible to keep the momentum alive.
"Indivisible, as one of the main organizers of 'No Kings Day', is an excellent source of concrete ideas about continuing its spirit. They are organizing in all 365 Congressional Districts in the USA and coordinating actions we can all take to stand up against authoritarianism. Indivisible’s website states: “Seven million people protested on No Kings Day. Let’s talk about how we channel that energy into sustained action.”
ACTION: Visit Indivisible's website to find and register for a local event in your area, or connect with your local Indivisible chapter to get involved in ongoing organizing efforts.
